Irene and Derek { elopement }

Another sweet elopement from JB at Sedona Luxury Weddings, who did a wonderful job putting all the details of this wedding together.

The talented team at Events by Showstoppers created the stunning red bouquet that matched Irene's dress perfectly. A very cute mini elopement cake was made by Sedona Cake Couture.

Patricia Vega is a fantastic hair and makeup stylist. Irene was thrilled with the her work.

Patricia is also an amazing hairpiece artist, as she also created the very stylish Art Deco feather hair piece that Irene wore... feathers are very "in" right now and Irene wore it beautifully!

The friendly staff at Pink Jeeps provided the transportation to beautiful Chicken Point.

We love this image of Derek watching Irene get ready... he has such a sweet look for her... very much in love to say the least!



Patricia's gorgeous red feathered hair piece and Showstoppers' cute cactus garden created at Irene's request to take back home to remember Arizona and their wedding day.





Margaret Van Damme did a beautiful job officiating the ceremony... the backdrop just doesn't get much more beautiful than this... Chicken Point is just stunning.

After the bumpy ride back down into Sedona Irene and Derek changed from Pink Jeep to a classic red Ford set up by JB.

Irene and Derek settled in for a super romantic dinner at Cucina Rustica ... and we caught a sweet candid shot of them toasting ... a perfect last image to remind Irene and Derek of their perfect elopement. Thank you both again for having us be a part of your day!

Kara and Will ~ Inn of Sedona, Sedona, Arizona

Kara and Will were married on October 6th, 2007 ... October is one of the most beautiful months in Arizona and the weather was fabulous. They are such an energetic couple very much in love with each other. We had fun documenting the day and seeing them have so much fun together and with their wonderful friends and family.

The pink themed floral decor was created by Bliss Extraordinary Floral. The ceremony was full of emotion and laughter; officiated by Suzanne Loo-McCoy from Sacred Unions.

Amy and Kris - Inn of Sedona

We had so much fun with Amy and Kris! They are such a fun couple! They are our favorite kind of client... they love fun/beautiful images and they love each other! Their wedding totally matched their personalities! Instead of a formal sit down reception, the guests munched on a delicious and filling array of appetizers as they watched the beautiful sunset on the red rocks from the Inn of Sedona.

Food stations and appetizers seem to be a modern trend for weddings that are less formal and all about fun! It enables friends and family to mingle and dance instead of having a strict set time for eating, dancing etc.

Because Amy and Kris really wanted to be with their friends and family their wedding day we scheduled a "day after" session... it was a perfect way to get a ton of a fabulous images without the time constraints of the wedding day. Instead of shooting pictures of Amy and Kris after the wedding, they were able to enjoy the sunset and spend time with their guests.

We went to our favorite place to shoot in Sedona, Tlaquepaque. And then finished up the day after session on the red rocks at sunset.

Here are some of our favorite shots on and after their wedding day! Amy and Kris! You two were amazing! You are a fun, happy, hilarious, romantic, and loving couple with such natural admiration for each other! Thanks for letting us have so much time to shoot, and many blessings to you in your marriage!




This is the burl ( a knotted and dense chunk of wood) that Kris gave to Amy's dad during the ceremony... in "exchange" for his daughter. Amy's dad is a woodworker and I know he was really touched.












I think this photo of Amy is one of my favorite shots this year! Amy you look stunning!!! Thanks for not thinking I was crazy for asking you to lie on that red rock. ;)







I love the body language in this shot above. And the light couldn't have been better! That magic hour before sunset is beautiful!
