alisha + brian { married } sedona wedding

over christmas, alisha and brian's family got together. they decided, since they were all together, why not get married..? so, they had their immediate family attend their sweet and intimate wedding ... we're so excited to also be photographing their three points ranch wedding reception in austin, texas, in may :)

doesn't alisha look gorgeous? patricia vega did an amazing job on the hair and makeup ... i love how her styling is so soft and very romantic ...

everyone got ready at alisha's mom and dad's house ... the prep room had perfect lighting for photos and for makeup ... they all had their dogs there which i thought was so sweet!

during the portraits we always try to get a more real and candid shot ...

it was a pretty warm day for winter but it was still pretty chilly.... alisha and brian were troopers for getting through the day in the cold... this location is on schnebly hill and we've been dying to have some one get married here because it is so beautiful... lucky me that alisha took our suggestion

Dana and Mark {elopement}

Recently I ( Andrew) was blessed with an opportunity to document a very short, but sweet, Sedona wedding elopement coordinated by JB, at Sedona Luxury Weddings.

Patricia Vega, as usual, did amazing work on the girls' hair and makeup... they actually got ready at Patricia's home, which is just a minute away from Red Rock Crossing where the ceremony took place.

{ elopement } kathryn and carlos

Our sweet friend, JB, at Sedona Luxury Weddings, contacted us about the intimate elopement of Kathryn and Carlos. It was wonderful to spend a few hours with them and their family and friends to document their nuptials. Kathryn's brother took a leave of absence from his duties in Afghanistan to be with them on their wedding day. It was truly a special day for everyone!

Pink Jeeps provided the transportation up the very bumpy Schnebly Hill Road.

Melanie and Phil - From Canada with Love

Katrina met Melanie, Phil, and their four beautiful girls, in Sedona to document their intimate elopement. All arriving in from Canada, the girls were surprised to learn that they would be participating in the declaration of vows between Melanie and Phil. It was truly a special day for everyone!

Margaret VanDamme, of VanDamme Weddings, officiated the beautiful ceremony and helped coordinate all the vendors. Brian David did a fantastic job playing guitar during the ceremony, as well as guitar accompaniment while Phil's oldest daughter sang Ave Maria during the ceremony.

Lastly, Melanie and Phil chose the chapel at Tlaquepaque Village for their ceremony. The perfect place to tie the knot!

Congratulations Melanie and Phil! We're so happy for you all!

The girls all prepared a reading for the ceremony... we love this storytelling image of sisters practicing through the window...

and this photo of the girls helping each other with what they would write.... we also love this photo for the layers ... if you carefully look not only is it an image of the speech being written but you can also see the reflection of the girls faces in the glass....

We always take time to get a great family photo... there are a lot of other images that are more portrait like... you know... the kind where everyone has their "photo" smile on... but we always wait for that perfect more lively and unique moment where everyone is relaxed and having fun.

Ok, so the girls where throwing the bouquets in the background WITHOUT any suggestion from Katrina... how fun is that!

Gail and Harry { to love again }

I (Katrina) was so blessed to document Gail and Harry's wedding. Gail is the mother of one of my best friends Jenni. Jenni is a wonderful photographer and when she and her mother asked me to document the wedding ceremony in Sedona and romantic portraits out on the red rocks I was thrilled and honored!
